General Questions

Do OEM's automatically get Net 30 Terms and Free shipping?

Absolutely! Our goal is to make your job a bit easier. What better way than to eliminate the standard “first order COD” stumbling block that most vendors require. So yes, you’re pre-approved for net 30 terms. Additionally, we want to pick up the freight on your first 3 shipments! Why? Because we believe once you’ve experienced our competitive pricing, quality service, on time deliveries, and friendly staff, you won’t want to work with anyone else! So give us a call, you’ll be glad you did.

How is my Intellectual Property (IP) protected?

Most companies focus on their core competencies and outsource many of the production steps. When this happens, the need for IP protection becomes a real concern. Protecting your proprietary designs is one our most important responsibilities and we take it seriously. Here’s how we protect your valuable information:

• Trained Staff
Everyone with access to your information has fully executed confidentiality agreements.
• Computer Access
Only management can access your information on our secure servers.
• ISO-Controlled Documentation
All of our IP safeguards are written into our ISO manuals and strictly enforced. We ensure all staff members understand the importance of protecting your intellectual property.
• Facilities Monitoring
Our facility has security systems and camera surveillance 24/7 to ensure your IP is secure both during and after hours.

What is ECIA?

The National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) and the Electronic Components Association (ECA) have consolidated forces to form the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA). They bring together and authorize all of the elements of the electronic components supply chain: component manufacturers, distributors, and independent manufacturing representatives. Look for the “Authorized Source” logo to ensure you purchase from a legitimately authorized company. ECIA authorized sources are your safest source for any electronic component.

How do you help manage obsolescence?

Because we are more than just a kitting organization, this is an area we really excel in. First, we monitor your BOM and let you know ahead of time when a part reaches End of Life. At that point we offer to schedule a “lifetime buy” on the product and stock it for you, or can suggest “Fit, Form, Function” equivalents to you. Additionally, through our 25+ years of experience, vast market knowledge, and global reach, we can supply product not typically readily available. All of our parts come from certified and trusted sources.

Assembly Questions

How do I get started?

Either contact us directly via phone to discuss your project, email us, or visit our Free Quote page and we’ll be in touch with you shortly to go over your project’s requirements.

Where will my product be built?

We have five assembly facilities domestically and one offshore. Most builds are made in the United States, but higher volume production runs are built offshore.

How long will it take to get finished product?

Each build is unique and mainly dependent on its BOM requirements and lead times. Once the parts are here and in production, it usually takes 7-10 days to complete the build.

Is there a minimum order or quantity?

While we do not have a minimum order quantity, we do have $100 PO minimum on orders outside of our online stock. We’re here to help you succeed and grow and some of our longest standing clients (20+ years) started with us when they were brand new start-ups. We take great pride in helping you grow your business.

Do you offer testing?

Absolutely! Actually, we prefer it, as it ensures 100% functioning boards on every delivery.

Is there an extra charge for testing?

No, not for a standard build as it is included in the price. However, we need to understand how involved your testing procedure is in order accurately estimate this cost.

Do you offer in-circuit testing?

Yes we do, but in many cases it is outsourced.

Do you provide bare PC board?

Yes we can. If you prefer, we can get it from you or your current board house as well.

Can I schedule deliveries?

Absolutely – in fact, many customers prefer to schedule their deliveries. We can also stock your product at our facility so it’s ready to ship at a moment’s notice. The best part? There’s no need for a separate third party logistics company, we handle it for you.

What are your assembly capabilities?

• Through Hole & Surface Mount
• Wiring Harness & Cables

Kitting Questions

What is kitting?

You send us all of, or part of, a BOM and we will price it, identify lead times, and order the parts to be delivered to you in one production ready kit. Simply tell us when you want it delivered, and you’re done. Many OEMs prefer us to handle everything on their BOMs, while others have us manage specific commodities like capacitors & resistors, IC’s, diodes, transistors, and so on. Think of us as your personal assistant, but with an entire company to help out, not just one person.

How long does it take to get a quote?

It can vary depending on the number of items on your BOM, but typically we respond within 2 business days. If you need a faster quote, just ask your account executive and we can get it back to you as quickly as 2 hours.

Do we have to take standard package quantities?

While we would suggest standard package quantities, we will always try our best to accommodate you and can mini reel or break standard quantities. Our unique position as a franchised distributor, the fact we carry a vast inventory, and we that are more flexible than other kitting companies or CM’s allows us to give you non-standard quantities.

What if I currently have items in stock?

We will need to use up the inventory you already have first. We can accomplish this in various ways. Most customers either consign the inventory to us or simply provide these parts to production until you reach MOQ.

How do you manage items with long lead-times?

We always monitor parts that have been identified as having lead-time concerns. If it’s a standard item, we would normally stock it ourselves, (NOTE: we are a stocking distributor) then maintain a safety stock for you. Non-standard items specific to your BOM are usually managed by using blanket or scheduled orders to build a buffer for your production.

Can I still use my current vendors and specialty pricing?

As a contract manufacturer, distributor, and kitting company, we may already have relationships with many of the vendors you currently use. You can request us to use any vendors you have special relationships or arrangements with. Any registrations or special pricing you may be receiving needs to be identified up front, and with your approval, we will use those suppliers to keep your pricing.
